Bible Informatics: A New Approach

Bible informatics is the application of information technology to study the text in the Bible. The primary goal of Bible informatics is to increase our understanding of the Bible. What sets it apart from other approaches is its focus on developing and applying computationally intensive techniques (e.g. pattern recognition, data mining, machine learning algorithms, and visualization) to achieve this goal.
